Life Spiraling down

Hey guys,
About a year ago my life started to crash and burn. It started with losing someone I really cared about. My brothers drug problems, my dads neglect, my moms deep depression. I became so lost and depressed I slept with some women I shouldn't have, who cheated on me. I spiraled down even more. Began isolating myself. Slept on my couch a lot, stopped brushing my teeth around thanksgiving. When christmas came around my apartment flooded. I got bed bugs and slept on my couch for almost 6 months. My first tooth rotted away for the first time in my life, I got a fake one. I started abusing drugs, alcohol, I was always the good kid who stood against drugs. I started smoking weed because I started to get sick, felt like my testicles were going to fall off and like I had HIV. I got sicker and sicker and no one knew what was wrong. I started developing acne for the first time in my life all over my face. I stopped going to classes and seeing friends. It all got terribly bad. I got better over the summer but am still sick. Tonight I walked up to the mirror to brush my teeth and noticed that my teeth are suffering serious decay. I moved into a knew apartment a couple weeks a go finally escaping my old flooded apartment, to find my new apartment is infested with roaches, so I bought a tent and put it on my bed and thats now where I sleep. I wake up in drenching sweat. I cry a lot more than I used to. My friends are virtually gone. I started making music, art, and trying to get closer to god. Point is, my teeth look worse than ever, I still have pain in my groin, sever acne scars, and all time depression. My eyesight has declined for the first time in my life, im only 21. I have serious insomnia and sometimes I dont eat for prolonged periods of time. I have also had dry skin around my genitals. Im headed to a therapist for the first time tomorrow. I also have a dry cough. I didnt know where else to post this because Im new here. I apologize for posting it in the wrong section, Im just kinda desperate and figured this would be a good place to start. I want to fix my life. Could I have some type of cancer, hiv, or could there be mold in this apartment or the roaches that are making me sick? I also have a harder time breathign than I used to. I want my life back.

First things first, believe in your self really believe in your self. You have had a lot of hurt more than most people could take, but don't let it kill you. You believe  in god, then pray he  will help you. If you want  a good life get off the drugs and. Anything else that can mess with. Your mind. It take about a year to feel like yourself old self again .go to church ever change you can it help getting off  everything. And your mind will start to feel good again.
Now your teeth ,can only be fix by a doctor and its because you used drugs that why your teeth are coming out .go to work if you don't now and remember everyday tell your self I am happy and will be happy...mind over matter

You have been through a lot with negative things going on around you and you have done drugs thinking they would help.  You know better now.

All the problems of ill health that you have been feeling, the acne and rotting teeth are all down to neglect and poor nutrition and poor hygiene (including dental hygiene) as well as the drug taking.

First off as you have cockroaches in your apartment, get in touch with your landlord to get in someone to get rid of them.  They spread disease and it is not healthy for you living with cockroaches.  If you have to, go and speak with your Environmental Health Department in your town.

It is important that you eat a healthy and well balanced diet with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and drink plenty of fluids with lots of water (no alcohol).  Having a healthy diet is important for good skin, strong bones and teeth and for your health.

Pain in the groin area (not your genitals), usually indicates problems in the hips.  Your doctor can send you for imaging, xrays or other imaging, to see if you have any bone problems.  If you are referring to your genitals, then you should be seen by a urologist.  Your dry skin area around your genitals does need treating.

You do not say what therapist you are seeing and for which problem.

With regard to your dry genital skin, you do need to get a swab taken to find out if you have any bacterial or fungal problems.  If you have a fungal problem, you will need to get that treated with an antifungal cream and/or antifungal medicines that are taken by mouth.  Your doctor will be able to prescribe these for you if necessary.  You can purchase these from the pharmacy, but they will not be as strong as the ones your doctor can prescribe.  Not only that, it is better to get a swab taken from the area to be able to treat the condition appropriately.  Depending on what you have will depend on what type of treatment you will need.

In any event, do NOT use soap to wash your genitals.  Baby washes should be fine and soaps that have a pH level like our skin.  Non perfumed soaps may be fine.   You can apply natural set yogurt to your genitals as a home remedy to your washed and gently dried areas.  There are no side effects from doing this and you can do this for as long as required.

It is also important to get a good moisturising emollient (these can also be used in place of soap).  These can also be purchased from the pharmacy and the pharmacist will be able to assist you.  Your doctor may prescribe some for you too.  The ones that I know of are Dibrobase, Doublebase Dermol 400 (this one is also anti-microbial).  You can also get Emolin which is a spray that you can apply to your dry skin on your genitals.

Make sure that you have a good standard of hygiene and wear clean underwear every day.  Only use non biological washing detergents.  If you do have sex, use latex free condoms for protection rather than the normal latex condoms.

For problems with your eyesight, you need to make an appointment to see an ophthalmologist and get your vision and eyes checked.  As we age, the vision does change and you may now need to have glasses.  The ophthalmologist will also be able to check your eyes for any other problems.

For your teeth, you need to make an appointment to see a dentist.  The dentist is the person who specialises in examining your mouth for mouth cancers and teeth for any damage, give you advice on teeth care and also repairs or extracts teeth that can not be repaired.   It is important that you brush your teeth in the morning and before going to bed at night.  Flossing in between the teeth will also help to keep your gums strong.  If you have never flossed, it is highly likely that your gums will bleed.  This is because there is gum disease, but with every day flossing you can change this and make your gums healthy again.  Health gums are a pale pink colour.  Your dentist may refer you to a hygienist to clean and polish your teeth and show you the correct way of flossing.

If you drink a lot of fizzy drinks and fruit juices, be aware that doing so can destroy the enamel on your teeth (the hard white surface) and will make them rot.  These types of drinks also soften the enamel, do don't brush your teeth straight after drinking fresh orange and other fresh fruit juices.

Because you slept with some "cheating" women, it would be a good idea for you to get checked out at the GUM clinic.  These are usually based in a hospital, if not in your hospital, check out the phone directory or find out where they are based.  This is a confidential service.

By the sounds of things it appears that you may be suffering from depression.  Your doctor can assess whether you are suffering from depression and offer help by way of antidepressants and/or counselling.

It is a good thing that you have pleasure in making music and believe in God.  Pray to God to give you the power and strength to get on the road to good health and get you through your bad times.  You may have set backs, which is quite normal and it will take time.

If you do have moments when you feel low and start to think negatively, turn that around to a positive.  Your doctor can refer you to a counsellor who specialises in cognitive thinking to help you.

As you have so many things to deal with, with regard to your health issues and the cockroaches in your apartment, start off by writing down a list of things that need tackling.  Personally, I would put the cockroach problem at the top of the list to be dealt with and set the ball rolling to get them eradicated from your apartment.

Hope the therapist is the correct one to help you deal with some of the problems that you have.

God bless.

Jemma116 covered pretty much everything in her response.
As for you having a harder time breathing. Yes, with your apartment being infested with roaches it can cause you to have breathing problems. Talk with the apartment manager about getting it treated. They are obligated by law to do so.

When you are feeling down remember this: "You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."  Alan A. Milne
