Liver? pain

Ok so im not sure if this is the place to be asking this but id like a 2nd opinion.

I drink, quite heavily. Every weekend i take binge drinking to new levels and have never really took any notice of any of the warnings.
I also drug, used to be a lot heavier (pills, salvia, hawian woodrose, weed) but i stopped completely. I stopped drugs for about 3 months and alco for about 2.

So now im getting back into it, not really the drug side more the alco. I have been back to my old weekend ways for the past 5 weeks in a row.

Any way.

Me + buddies smoked a lot of weed saterday just gone, 1/4 an ounce between 5 of us.
I brought a few people back to mine, we smoked again at about 2 am.

I cant rememberto well, but it was either just before, or just after i started smoking this that i got slight pains around the liver area. Thoght nothing of it.
Got back to the house about 2:30, laid down and suddenly was in so much pain. I cant describe it, imagine a REALLY bad stitch but lower down. I was rolling around my sofa in pain, and this was even with me being completely stoned...

It went away after maybe 5 mins of lieing still (moving seemed to make it worse)and i thought nothing more of it.

Woke up the next day and it was much better, but still sore.
Woke up today and it was still sore.

Im posting this tonight, starting to get a bit worried now. Google tells me its the area of my liver hurting, maybe 3 inches down from my bottom rib, left hand side.

Im just wondering if any one has had this problem? Any ideas what it is?

Any help would be great.

I would suggest that the life style that you have should stop then maybe the symptoms would stop. If you have something severe, well stopping the drugs and the drinking would help heal faster

Yea but liver is on the right side, this is on the left, as Txtony said:

you say left, then it could be the spleen, or large intestine splenic flexure area. or if you are a heavyset guy, even your stomach

So im hoping all is well =]

Dont be fooled by a lack of pain or symptoms and tell yourself tht means you are fine, liver disease is a SILENT KILLER due to the lack of ANY warning signs, most people have no symptoms until the damage is quite severe.
Dont think you are too young for it to happen either, you need to get your liver checked out and seriously review your behavior.
You would be smart to go have a liver blood panel done so you can see your liver situation from a biological perspective.

For all those reading this, the pain has completely gone, the odd ocasional slight twinge, but nothing much. The area felt like an organ there was slghtly swollen for a day or so, but that seems to have gone down to.

Rest assured ill be taking it much more steady from now on heh.

you say you googled the location of your pain, look 1st imagine an a big plus sign on your whole abdomen area, not chest.ok theres 4 quadrants, right upper quadrant, left upper quadrant, right lower quadrant and left lower quadrant. place your hand on your pain, is it left upper quadrant or right upper quadrant??? if you say right, then its liver related, gall bladder or gall stone. if you say left, then it could be the spleen, or large intestine splenic flexure area. or if you are a heavyset guy, even your stomach. stoned=munchies, lol. get back to me.

How bizare, they show up now.

Well Pancreatitis will either heal itself or need a diet with high colesteral to sort itself out, so that shouldnt be a problem.

Im looking up desieses of the gallbladder and most of them seem to say pain would be on the right side of the abdomen, whereas im feeling pain on the left.

Also it seems to be slightly better today, im hoping it will just correct itself.

But yes, I do need to tone it down with the drink / drugs.

Also could be gallbladder (gallbladder sits beneath the liver)or pancreatitis, that occurs after HEAVY bout of drinking, usually followed by nausea, vomiting, fever, clammy skin.If you develop those symptoms go to your dr,and laying off the drinks will help, good luck!
