Lots of symptoms no dx can you help

I've been having problems for about 2 years now. I started having dizzy spells while looking down. Things like doing the dishes would trigger them.  Has progressed to being dizzy all the time. Constant rocking motion that seems to be timed with my heartbeat. When constant rocking started fluid started coming from my ears also vasospasms started in my hands and feet. Vision is sometimes blurry. my ears ring and i have sudden but brief periods of hearing loss. I've been told I have nystagmus. knee refexes are quick also have lots of muscle twitches. finally, lots of skipped heart beats. Ive also lost 20 lbs. MRI of brain showed 3 areas of increased T2 signal strengh(periventrical region). No post contrast differences noted. These foci are so small that they didn't show up on previous open MRI. Iam extemly frusterated. Been told to just deal with it and/or its all in your head. I don't feel this is MS. I personally believe this to be some sort of circulatory disfunction. Possibly hormone related? Doctors are more inclined to laugh at me rather than help. Where can i go to find someone who cares enough to listen and will run the necessary tests to find out what is going on. Any insight would be greatly appriciated. Thank you and happy Easter.

Hi Demi, I went to the doctors today, and he wants me to have a brain MRI, I am scared to death, I have been so worried about MS for the past 8 years that now I've become a basket case.  A part of me wants to know and the other part doesn't.  I had a migraine for 2 days and have taken 1 800mg of ibuprofen every 6 hours, for 2 days and now the facial tingling isn't there anymore and my neck isn't hurting, go figure, was there inflammation in there and the ibuprofen helped, or what?  He thinks its MS because if the tingling, and the other night before the migraine came on, my nose tip was tingling, which was new for me, what do you think?  Please let know what you think?

Thanks for the responces.  Alot to think about.  Maybe more background will also help I'm 28 and live in central NJ.  Other than this I've been healthy my whole life.  My own personal feeling is that I have cervical vertigo.  Some docs see nystagmus and some dont it seems to come and go which makes some believe me and some think Im a somatizer.  Not quite sure how nystagmus could be a somatic symptom..  I've never had anyone evalute my nystagmus as that may actually lead somewhere.  I went for an ENG once but the ENT was running way behind(1.5 hours) so he said since my hearing test was "essentially normal" the ENG wasn't going to tell him anything.  He told me to come back in 3 months if i still wasnt feeling good. what a waste. I know my C-spine mri showed some type of bulging disc problem at the C-2 or C-3 level.  I wonder if this could be the source of my problems.  Whatever it is it is degenerative as it is slowly getting worse.  Any doc or clinc suggestions would be appriciated
Thank you all again

Any changes in your diet that started two years ago?  Or did you start using a chemical product around the house at that time?

Artificial sweetners caused me many, many problems for over nine years (some similar to yours), and I had problems with my ears for three years from using an anti-septic aerosol around the house.

Not one of the many doctors I saw for these symptoms recommended that I journal my diet and/or household chemicals.  All they did for me was perform tests, prescribe pills, and then want to use knives (on my ears)... when the problems were in my diet and my environment.  Both times I figured out what was happening on my own. You may want to keep a journal on your own, and use a process of elimination to see if your diet or environment is a factor.

I have had some of the symptoms you described. The dizzy spells were thought to be silent migraines. However I also had BPPV (benign paroximal positional vertigo) and had Eply manuevers done. I also had brief dizzy spells when I looked down, these have been helped considerably by the Eply manuevers. I have ringing in my ears too, and occassional very brief loss of hearing in one ear followed by intense high pitched ringing. Recently was dx'd with vestibular dysfunction in both ears.  I am still trying to find out what all is going on here. My knee reflexes are very brisk too. I had MRI's - normal, no MS or tumors. Since you have have do much dizzy spells I would suggest seeing an Oto-neurologist. He/she are specialists in both ear/vestibular/neurological diseases. They can order special vestibular testing for you to find out if your problem is brain/vestibular system or circulartory. Good luck and hope you feel better soon.

Hello again, do you think its possible for a problem in the occipital region to cause problems in your legs?  Just a thought.  I'm going to the doctors Thursday, what about an EMG/NC test what does that cover , if anything?  Thank you, you seem to know a good bit!

Thanks for your reply. Brisk reflexes are only in my knee. I've kicked a couple of Neurologist pretty good. They have no solid explanation for my symptoms been told anxiety, depression, migrains yada yada yada They really dont know anything. They say blood work is good take a xanax and call if anything changes. I've had a MRI of the C-Spine to suposedly rule out MS. Doc said she would call if anything abnormal and she never called so I guess it is okay. are you a tense and/or otherwise nervous person. Maybe all this is stress but my gut tells me otherwise and I will not give up until i find the answer.
