Low Lymphocytes?? Dont know what it means??

On my recent Labs, I saw some low values..

On the Lymphocytes % -  17.40    and the Normal Range is 20.50 to 51.10

Lymphocytes Absolute Value 1.18    and the Normal Range is 1.2 to 3.40

What does this means???? is this normal???
Please let me know!!

Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Yes, the values are low but only marginally low especially the absolute lymphocyte count and is not clinically significant.
The white blood cell count is low in parasitic infections, viral infection, allergy, lupus, hyperthyroid states, hypersplenism, and rheumatoid arthritis. If you have symptoms then these will have to be ruled out.
It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage.  Do discuss with your doctor. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
