Lump after cyst removal

Hey,

I had a cyst removed about 7 or 8 years ago and it left me with a bald spot. Sometimes I touch the bald spot and today when I did I noticed that there was another lump right around the bald spot. I can't really remember if I have noticed it before but now it is there and really bugging me. It is pretty sensitive to touch and hurts, unlike my other cyst that was there which didn't really.

Anyway, just wondering if anyone could help me out! Thanks.

When you had the cyst removed did they identify what type of cyst it was?  There are growths on the skin which look like cysts but actually aren't, called dermatofibromas.  These can grow following trauma such as an insect bite and go so deep into the tissue they are very hard to remove.  When they are removed they often grow back into the scar tissue.  They can be sensitive or itchy but are not harmful.  I'm not saying this is what you have, but it is a possibility.  I would show the growth to a dermatologist to get a proper diagnosis.  If it is this, it is not worth trying to remove it as it will likely grow back again.  But of course the diagnosis could be entirely different.  See a dermatologist and maybe even ask about this possibility.  Be comfortable.
