Lump...down there...

Well first things first, let me say, I am going to make a doctor's appt first thing in the AM to check this out, but I'm kind of unsure if I should be calling my regular doctor, or my gyno. Also would just like a few opinions on this in the meantime because hello, it's the middle of the night, and I'm freaking out a tad and in pain.

Anyway. Sometime yesterday, noticed that I have developed a lump that's about the size of a penny, in kind of the area just outside of my ******* (lovely right!! Sorry about this folks). It is hard to the touch, doesn't really move around, and very very tender (especially when touched or pressed upon, so I'm trying to sleep on my side). Checked it out with a mirror, and it really doesn't look like much from the outside...the lump is noticeable but it's def. all taking place under the skin, kind of looks like a large pimple/bug bite but it does NOT feel that way. So uh...any ideas on what this could be? Any suggestions on how to make it stop hurting? Thanks in advance folks!

Hmm...well I have ABSOLUTELY been stressed out, run down, a mess lately from work. Both abscess and boil seem similar so I think you're both on the right track...will def. make a doc appt to check my options out.

Hi miss piggy.

You need this checking out,
It sounds to me like its an abcess in the vulva.
When these get big they cause lots of pain.
They usually have to cut these out if it is, so better to get checked now before it grows, and causes you a whole deal off unwanted pain.

Good luck
