Migraine and possible seizures?

I was diagnosed with migraines in 1999, and in the last 1 to 2 years they have gotten prgressively worse.  I have had chronic migraines since Nov 2004, all my MRI's have come back normal.  In May 2000, I woke up on my sofa, after I can only assume that I fell down the stairs.  I had lost about 3 hours, woke up on the sofa confused and lethargic.  My muscles hurt and I had a large bump on my head.  I went to the hospital and the diagnosed as some type of syncope. I have had similar episodes over the last 6 years, waking up on the floor, hurt, confused, and extremely tired, muscle pain, and most recently, tongue biting.  Very rarely has anyone seen me convulse, however my friends have found me stiff and unresponsive to them for about 20 minutes.  I had an EEG and under light stimulation and hyperventilation, I had a Primary Generalized Seizure. I was placed on medicine that seems to be doing more harm then good. I am having difficulty with my vision, I am exhausted, and my thinking is poor.  I have recently had to go on Disability, as I can not do my job properly...I can't see well.  I sought a 2nd opinion, and this Dr stated that he must see my EEG, because the type of seizures they stated I have are hereditary and do not usually show up in a 30 year old female. I did not ever have these episodes more then 1-2 times a year before recently.  Now they are coming 1-2 times a month. I am so confused and wonder if all this might be something obvious to an underlyng problem?
