Multiple Symptoms, no answers

Hello,

Ive never posted on a forum before but lately I've been feeling really sick.

I'm a 28 yr old female, 5'4. I have a history of Pernisios Anemia, Fibromalgia, Disk bulging from my neck to my lumbar, Endometrisis and PCOS and IBS.

My surgical history is SVT cardiac ablation, anal fissurectomy, gallbladder surgery, tummy tuck and tubal ligation.

These are my most recent symptoms. During Spring Break Sunday  March 13 i took my daughter to the waterslide park were we spent 4 hours riding the slides. For the next few days after that I was hurting around my two upper gallbladder surgery incision
(i just had surgery december 28,2010) and my lower back and neck. I thought it was from my Fibro.

My daughter gets sick on Thursday march 17. Throwing up and diarreah. She had to be taken to the urgent care because she was dehydrated (I'm only putting this in here in case it ties in with my symptoms)

Saturday march 19 I'm at an AirShow when I start feeling nauseus and get diarreah. I get taken to the first aid booth. The checked me out they think I just got whatever bug my daughter. My heart rate was elevated to 88 blood pressure was fine.

On tuesday march 22 my diarreah and nauseusness continuess and now I got dry heaves. I follow up with my pcp who thinks Im still shaking off whatever my daughter got. Listened to my bowels said they were over active and put me on a 3 day treatment of flagly and cipro. i started the meds on Weds.

Also my neck and back still hurts so I put a capsasium cream on late weds, night. 12:30 am thursday  I end up in the er because my hands, neck and back were buring like crazy. turns out it was a reaction from the pepper oil then later that night as the cream wore off my hands got very cold. I called the er and again they said it was the reaction from the cream. during my first visit in the middle of the night they gave me percot for the pain but that made me feel sick to my stomach so they switched me to vicodin to take that night

So by friday I'm just feeling plain yucky all over. nausea, dizziness, lightheadedness, a little unbalanced (almost like if I was tipsy) I call the pharmacist and they say the flagly, cipro and the vicodin I took thursday night makes you feel all that.

now Saturday rolls around and the diarreah got bad again. Took an imodium that controlled it but I still felt yucky but my husband thought I should get some fresh air so we went to an art fest.

Sunday I'm just still feeling yucky.

Monday March 28 I make an appt. to see my pcp. Also this morning i woke up with a horrible sharp pain in my back that went all the way around to like my lower abdomen between my belly button and groin. I also went to the chiropractor in case my neck was out of place because of the feeling in my head. getting adjusted didn't help.

I explain to her all the symptoms to my pcp  and she does a urine test in case I'm dehydrated. Well the urine test came back that I had moderate blood in the urine. oh and i also lost 5 pounds from my previous visit 6 days before. So she puts me on bactrim and promethazine and gave me a b12 shot and I'm to follow up in 3 weeks.

Honestly that make me unconfortable to wait that and especially with no tests to see whats causing these symptoms.

So to summerize I started with muscle aches after going to the pool park two weeks ago that come and go, a week later I start with diarreah, nauseusness and dry heaves, then the unbalanced, light headed, dizziness and the sharp pain in my back. along with a 5 pound weightloss in a week and moderate blood found in urine

Can all this be one thing or multiple things?

Sorry I know it's a lot to take it.

Thanks

Unless the doctors put you on one new drug at a time and change one dose at a time then it's very difficult to know what is causing what.
How long have you been on metformin?  Some people have uncontrollable diarrhea stomach problems on this medicine.  Sometimes switching to the XR (sustained release form) and taking it at night will help.
Cipro - can cause dizziness and drowsiness even though it's an antibiotic.
Flagyl and Bactrim both can cause severe stomach upset.  Both should be taken with food, but even then may not be tolerated.  The Flagyl can cause a metallic taste in the mouth.  It's a pretty nasty drug.  But if you have a certain bacteria in your intestines it's the drug of choice.
Do you have high white cell count in your blood?  That would indicate an infection.
Try some Vitamin D for your fibromyalgia.  Anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 units daily.  If you are thin 2,000 may be enough, more body fat you need a higher dose.  It will make you feel better.  Plus it boosts your immune system.

You have had a rough time, haven't you. you answered most of your symptoms already. you had a reaction to the cream the pain meds made you dizzy and tipsy. you caught your daughters bug which in turn gave you diariah with vomiting for a long period of time which would make you lose weight and give you anemia. you were probably correct in thinking that your neck and back pain were from your Fibro. I believe you may be suffering from some anxiety because of all your sickness. The biggest concern would be the blood in the urine. That could also be a reaction to some of the new meds you were introduced to. i'm sure your doctor will have a better idea of what that is from when the test results are complete and i truely hope you get to feeling better.
