Thank you so much for your response. I asked my PCP and she said it could be related to magnesium deficiency and that I should start taking supplements (my magnesium level is on the low end of normal).
I am currently seeing a chiropractor for unrelated reasons. It seems to help my other problems, but it doesn't seem to do much for my muscle spasms. We haven't actually discussed my muscle spasms. Do I need to specifically ask my chiropractor about my muscle spasms?
I've been experiencing muscle twitching all over my body for the past 2-3 years. They feel like bubbles or things crawling under my skin and they happen more frequently when I have lots of gas. Sometimes the twitching stays in one place and doesn't stop for hours. At first I though it was a side effect I was getting from Zantac, but I've been off Zantac for months and I still get muscle spasms! What kind of doctor should I see for this problem? Could this be a neurological condition? How do I make these annoying spasms stop?? They're SO ANNOYING!
Start maybe with a Chiropractor, sometimes muscle spasms and twitching are due to pinched nerves or misaligned vertebrae, I know mine are, I have them, and my chiro is usually able to help.
I also suffer from SIBO, eosinophilia, autoimmune thyroiditis/hashimoto's, interstitial cystitis and heart PVC's/PAC's. Could these conditions cause muscle spasms?
They could be, that question could be better answered by your doctor.
Could my muscle spasms be causing my PVCs/PACs? I never had PVCs/PACs before I started having spasms.
Yes, sometimes muscle spasms can cause PAC's and PVC's. they, in themselves, are a form of muscle twitching, after all, the heart is a big muscle. Again, a doctor or even a cardiologist can answer this better, I am just answering from my past experiences.
