Nail discoloration

I was just diagnosed with yeast infection, candida I think, in my blood; I had 9 out of 10 symptoms for two years previous and went to ER only after my tunge had lots of white spots and it got so swollen that I could hardly talk. A drug called Diflucan was prescribed for three days, but still have chills, feverish feelings, fatigue, etc..At the same time my tounge swelled my nails changed color to bluish purple lines with white beds above and below the blue/purple lines; my doctor is on vacation, next appointment is Feb. 24th, should I be concerned and see another doctor before the 24th? Also, I have been on Levaquin, have Hep C too.

I did see another docter. He ran a full blood workup. Meanwhile, I recieved suppliments to help me irradicate (I hope) the yeast from my body, as I understand it is hard to get rid of and absorbs itself deeply in tissue! This morning the discoloration is fading and I am hopeful of continued recovery! Thank you for your comment and advice!

My advice is to maybe see another doctor in your regular doctor's practice so that you can get some medical guidance before the 24th. Call your doctor's practice and ask if your doctor has a backup physician taking his place while he or she is on vacation. The backup physician maybe able to see you right away.

I hope you feel better!
