Need an answer...

So randomly this just started this morning and i thought nothing of it when it occurred but it is now going on 1am on the next day and its still popping up. I keep getting this sharp pain under neath my right rib cage but to the side right above my hip bone. Its not a constant pain, it comes and when it does it last for about 2secs then goes away and about an hour or so later it reappears. I dont feel bad, nothing, just having these pains. I dont know what to do.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
The pain could be due to gas, kidney stones, muscle pull, gall bladder stones, liver infection, constipation, appendicitis or due to start of shingles. Duodenal ulcer, IBS, Crohn’s disease and colitis are the other possibilities. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage without examining you. Also since you otherwise feel fine it could be gas or muscle pull. Still on net a confirmed diagnosis is not possible. Do consult your doctor. Take care!

Go to the bathroom?  Sounds like gas.

How close to your navel is it? Are you nauseous?

ulcer/perforation, costochondritis possibly, and maybe an inflammation of stomach/duodenom/upper GI as others mentioned.

You'd need to note when this pain usually starts, if it's after you eat a certain food, or if you even get headaches or quite possibly describe the pain on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst. I hope you find out what's up, gooduck!
