Nerve pain or Muscle pain?

I have had surgery on my foot to remove two pieces of bone back in September and all went well. But for two months now I have had mild to severe right leg thigh pain. It seems to feel better when I am on it ( I am a retail manager so I am on my feet constantly ) but when I have a chance to rest it will hurt and sometimes it will hurt even if I am on it. It aches, and burns I have muscle twitches - sometimes muscle twitches in other places to - not painful twitches (just annoying). And is very tender on the inner thigh of the right leg, close to the side of the knee. There is no skin discoloriation or swelling. And sometimes it hurts to walk. I just recently seen my podiatrist and he gave me a referal to see the Physical Therapist to do some kind of Ultrasound. But the appointment isn't until the 19th of March. I just want to ask someone what it could possibly mean (what is wrong with me) Please help. Thanks.

Well, today I went to the PT and she did light therapy and some stretches. It really hurt when she put pressure on top of my thigh. And it hurts when I stand up and twist to the right. She thinks it is either sore from limping from the surgery or one of my legs is shorter than the other. She has me comming two other times next week for the same therapy. After the first session it doesn't feel like anything worked but it hurts a little worse than when I first came in.

Damage to lateral cutaneous nerve of thigh. They operated . I have a 5 inch scar left of bikini line but worth it. I am still numb but the nerve grows back 1mm per month so should start to get feeling back as time passes. No pain or burning though.
