It's worth mentioning that stress and several other lifestyle changes can make your period a little irregular.

Hello,

Delaying of the periods just by one day does not mean that you can be pregnant. If your menses are delayed more than 10 days beyond the due date, with previous periods being regular and you have been sexually active, there is a very good chance of you having become pregnant. Other signs of pregnancy include feeling sick, or vomiting in the morning; fullness, prickling sensations and heaviness in breasts; feeling like urinating more often; feeling unusually tired and lethargic and increased vaginal discharge.

In pregnancy, the growing tissues of the new conception (early fetus) secrete a special hormone into your body called ‘human Chorionic Gonadotrophin’ (HCG). This enters your blood as early as one week following fertilisation. You can do home urine for pregnancy test after 1 week of your due periods date.Confirmation of pregnancy is done by ultrasonography or serum beta HCG.

Hope it helped. Take care and regards.
