Obsessing or something serious

I just happened to look at my legs in a full-length mirror and it appears that my right ankle is a bit bigger than my left one. Not sure if one is got bigger or one got smaller. It's not really noticeable but I see it. It's not painful or itchy and I don't really notice the difference until I see my legs side by side.

The "fatness" looks a bit like a mini-kankle. It sort of starts about 2/3 down my shin under my calf muscle and stops right above my ankle bone on the back side of my leg (above my Achilles tendon). It just looks meaty and not really much else.

I got freaked out because the first thing my sister said was it's probably a blood clot and it could lodge in my lung and kill me! She also said the first "call 911" sign is tightness in the chest and dizziness - which I feel all day long due to my GAD! I really don't know what to make of it. I am uninsured at the moment and can't really go to get it check out immediately unless it's something serious.

Anyone have an idea?

Don't forget the human body is not perfectly symetrical.  I'm sorry you're disturbed about it. I'm not a doctor, but I would expect a blood clot would be giving you a lot more symptoms. Take care.

I was thinking today and I'm wondering if my right leg is actually the "good" leg and my left leg is a little weaker. I do have a stone bruise (I think that's what it's called) on my left knee and I do tend to nurse it a lot when I walk.

My right leg (the on in question) is my leading leg and I did go for a bit of a walk yesterday and it's more sore than the other leg. Again, I'm trying not to obsess over it and wait to see if I can get to a doctor soon to get a professional opinion.

If it is a blood clot, what symptoms should I look for.

As a note: I notice that my right leg is a little tight its a little sore like I've been running or slept on it wrong. I get a little pins-n-needles sensation on the top of my foot from time to time also.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,

The small disparity between the size can be due to wear and tear, overuse of muscles of one ankle and posture while walking. If it is not causing any problem or there is no significant swelling involved, there is no issue. If however, there is noticeable or significant swelling then causes like infections, arthritis, gout, kidney, heart, liver or blood vessels disorders and varicose veins have to be ruled out after consulting a physician.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.
