Older Male with Calf Cramp

69 yo male had bad right calf cramp 3 wks ago. Foot swelled & became bruised near foot, now the bruising is moving around and swelling continues.  Ultrasound showed no DVT, pain/swelling/bruising remains. Dr had no advice on cause or diagnosis on other possibilities but the injury continues.

Seek a second opinion since it has been 3 weeks, the symptoms persist and you have no answers.
Should a DVT had been missed by the Ultrasound, perhaps a venography or a d-Dimer test might be additional tests you need to rule out DVT 100%.
Surgery or immobility are predisposing risk factors.

Cheers,
Niko

I would second the opinion of the Lightseeker. You have the hallmarks of a vascular compromise and need a second opinion.

you may want to increase your blood circulation by taking cayenne pills with food one a day for one week then two a day the next week and three the next then topping out at four ,, this will rid you of ulcer creating parasites as well take this with garlic of any form ,, if u want fresh blend five cloves with the juice of half a lime and drink all ,,, this will also prevent dementia in ur later years ,,, good luck n I hope this helps at least
