Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
White coat on tongue can be due to food, fungal infection or due to dryness. Repeated acid reflux can also be a cause. If sucking on a hard candy removes it then it must just be old food debris. Fungal infection and acid reflux related white coat will persist.
However please get this investigated by a dentist or your PCP once.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
It sounds very similar to Thrush. Basically what thrush is, is a yeast infection in your mouth! All you need to do is get a prescription from your dr. Babies actually get thrush very easily and the medication they prescribe for them is called Nystatin.
YEs, you can get Thrush in your mouth. It normally is a white coating, and you can medication to help it go away..
