Pain in left side of neck and head and back pain

by Vivasparks, Dec 10, 2006 12:00AM
Approximately 8 weeks ago, I developed a noise in my head similar to when one listens to the inside of a conch shell.  5 weeks after that, I ended up with bronchial pneumonia, which I went to the doctor for and told him of my other symptom of noise in my head.  He prescribed antibiotics and an inhaler and said that I had an ear infection and the noise should dissipate once I finished the meds.  However, I am on week 8 and still am experiencing the noise in my head, which seems to be concentrated more on the left side and my neck, shoulders and back feel stiff and/or painful 24/7.  And the kicker is our family has no health insurance for costly tests...any suggestions as to whether or not this will go away or if it warrants medical treatment?  Additionally, I also feel as if I haven't been sleeping the best and for awile (off and on) I would feel hot and turn the fan on despite the cold temperatures we have been experiencing...don't know if this is related or not.
