Pain in the upper left side of my body

I am an 18 year old female, and for as long as I can remember I have always had a TERRIBLE pain in the upper left side of my body. It only happens every so often, but lately it has been happening a lot. It hurts so bad, I can't move or breathe, it hurts to do both. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME? Does anyone else have the same problem?

Okay, I dont think it has anything to do with my gall bladder, because I don't have pains in my chest, and the pain is on the opposite side, so that is ruled out. Thanks for the comments !

You may have a cyst on your left ovary. You need to go have an ultrasound or CT scan to see what is going on. If it is in your back, you could also have a kidney stone. I have had kidney stones, my gall bladder out, and cysts on my ovaries. The pains are similar, but very different. Your gall pains hurt in the middle of your chest, towards the right side, (and yes your gall bladder is on your right side, I have scars to prove this!) Kidney stones and cyst pains are similar, but stones are much more painful. Anyways, I hope this answers your questions, but really, go and see your Dr.

Well its hard to say, I'm always eating lol .. but actually, last night i woke up with this STABBING pain ! i couldn't move or breathe, but it is in the same spot my gall bladder is located! Should I be worried!? What should I do, and what could it be!?

Is it in the area of the gal bladder? Do you get the pain after eating?
