Try cutting out, or keep to a very minimum all foods that contain high amounts of purine. These are cauliflower, broccoli, meats, nuts, celery, you will probably find more high purine foods on the web.
If your joints problems are because of arthritic problems this should help.
I presume that you have not had any new footwear that has caused your feet problem. Ill fitting shoes can cause pressure on the toes.
Do you do any workouts in the gym and specifically on a treadmill?
Out of desperation for lack of answers (yet hundreds of dollars in doc fees), for the past week I've completely cut out anything in my diet that is refined (including gluten and dairy) and I've sworn off alcohol. My symptoms have greatly diminished even in that short a span of time. I'm wondering if I could have been having some sort of massive allergic/inflammation reaction to what I had been eating.
Still have some mild lingering pain in my abdomen, but if that clears out over the next week as well, I'm going to chalk this up to something very wrong in my diet.
What I would love to do is get tested for any allergies I might have, but I have "non-allergies" as an allergist I saw called them. He doesn't know a way to test me since I don't produce a histamine response to anything. Any clues what kind of test I could get that would pinpoint what I'm "non-allergic" to? (just saying that sounds ridiculous to me)
Glad your blood count is okay... wonder what's causing the problem. Perhaps you should see a Vascular surgeon - they specialize in varicose veins.
Blood count came back normal.
Polycythemia is also a possibility. Too much blood... look it up
I'm wondering about the hemochromatosis. I already know my total iron binding capacity is low and recently I realized I eat a several high iron foods regularly. I also take a vitamin C supplement which I didn't realize increases iron absorption. This may have been too much for my body to handle.
More tests are still pending.
I'm thinking a blood pressure problem or Hemochromatosis - iron overload disease - very common in men. Have your doctor check your ferritin levels - many times when they do a CBC they don't check for iron overload. - I affects the privates as well. (PS my grandson has Hemochromatosis).
If you do not know anything about the illness, why are you bothering posting such a reply?
I am wondering about Lyme disease.
I am not a doctor and I do not know about CT scans.
But what you describe with the really painful toes and joints sounds like you may have an arthritic inflammatory disorder called Gout.
As you have had your urologist check you out in that area and the CT scan shows no problems, go back to your doctor and ask for a blood test to be taken to find out if you have this problem. If it is confirmed that you suffer from gout, your doctor will prescribe the right medication for you and hopefully will give you information with regard to your diet and which foods to avoid.
Have you had your urine checked for any abnormalities?
Groin pain can be from arthritis in the hips
