Have they looked for adhesion (scarring) that might be causing the pain?  Have you tried going to a chiropractor to see if you might have a pinched nerve causing the pain?

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
As Surgimenopause pointed out, adhesions should be ruled out. No tests are available to diagnose adhesions. Adhesions can be taken care of by laprotomy and cutting the adhesions.
You will be surprised to know that stomach ulcers and severe acidity can result in hunger pangs. Even GERD presents with similar symptoms. At times the hunger pangs due to acidity wakes up a person in the wee hours of night complaining of pain. Omeprazole is a good drug to combat this. Along with it you can try over the counter antacids. However I would recommend you see a doctor and take medication under a doctor’s supervision. Avoid heavy meals and take frequent small ones. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Go to bed at least 2 hours after food. Take a late night snack and keep lozenges or crackers beside to bed to be eaten when the pain starts.
Hunger pangs can be controlled. Keep a diary of what you eat. Some food stuffs make you hungry earlier where as others do not. Remove all high calorie and high glycemic index food items from your house. Keep healthy nutritious food, plenty of fiber rich food and plenty of fruits and vegetables.
Also the other possibility is diabetes. Especially if you have a family history or you are over weight, this has to be ruled out as a cause of hunger. Well, worms in gut are definitely a possibility-like tape worm, round worm. You may miss the worms. It happens. So do get a stool test done too.
Maybe these tips will help you. You should see a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system) or a physician for this if these tips reduce your symptoms.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
