Painful Sexual Intercourse and abnormal vaginal bleeding

I gave birth to my first child 15 months ago.  I have noticed in the last 6 months that my periods have become increasingly irregular and I have excruciating pain with sexual intercourse(pain that brings me to tears). This past month I began spotting 10 days before my expected period. The spotting continued for 7 days, followed by 4 or 5 days of heavy bleeding. I also noticed some discomfort with wearing tampons(they feel like they are falling out).I had similar problems last month. The cramps are no worse than usual, but the pain with intercourse are honestly unbearable, and the deeper the penetration, the worse the pain.  Another problem that I have noticed, that may be unrelated is very bad aching in my legs.  The only way to describe this pain is that my legs feel achy like when you have the flu.  This pain seems to be worse at night.  Can someone please help me out, and maybe shed some light on what might be going on?

you can know with certainty that it is not an std as so blatantly posted earlier, if that makes you feel any better.lol. (i am a nurse/pastor's wife in an unquestionably monogamous relationship-i wont go into details)I have a pretty strong history of endometriosis (requiring surgery). As i suspected my problem is coming from a combination of that and fibroids. I havent decided on a treatment route, but the good news is, my symptoms are not as bad this month. some of the treatments suspend ovulation, and i would like to have another baby (Lord willing), so i guess i am just going to have to bear with it and give it a little more time. good luck

Did you ever find out what was wrong with you?  I have almost the exact same symptoms, but sex is not that painful.  It is uncomfortable, but it would not bring me to tears.  Please let me know if you found anything out.  Thanks!

Hi,

If these are some of your symptoms: pelvic pain, cramps, early or late periods that become shorter and shorter, joint pain/arthritis (even when you are young), fibromas, bloated stomach as if you were pregnant, tender breasts, fatigue, vaginitis and/or cystitis,  infertility and/or miscarriages and/or having late born babies (of course, in case you are actually trying to get pregnant), lack of concentration, weight gain

I would see my OB/GYN soon - painful intercourse is not normal even after childbirth.  I had problems wearing tampons for about a year after my son was born, but eventually, I was able to wear them again - don't have a clue what caused it - but I now wear them without any problems.  Let us know how it goes!  Hope this helps

could be alot of things endometriosis can cause pain maybe hormones out of whack causing vaginal dryness could be a cyst on an ovary.  A urinary tract infection can be painful.  Would be wise to see your doctor. Fybroids can cause bleeding and pain during intercourse.  good luck.
