Parasite in Stool?

Hi all,

I know this is pretty nasty, but it's my life at the moment. Can anyone tell me what this is in my stool? I would greatly appreciate any advice. I am going to a GI next week, but am worried at the moment.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Well, could see a picture either at the link or your profile. A thread like thing in your stool can be a vegetable fiber or it can be a worm—round/tape/thread worms are the different types of long worms in stool.
If you have the stool sample—get it tested. Otherwise give a morning sample for testing—ova or cyst of stools can be observed in stool.
Take care!
