I am a 38 y.o. female and have had pectus carinatum which developed when I was about 12-14. I did have lower stamina and endurance than ALL of my peers during the school years, but overall my health is good. I would like the protrusion corrected for mostly cosmetic reasons. Is this possible with the minimally invasive chest compression intra-thorasic brace placed surgically over my sternum and ribs at John's Hopkins? With Dr.s Yang or Meneshian?? I am able to depress the protrusion inwards with one hand pressing down, without much force but this does cause discomfort (pressure on the skin)
