Maybe its postural hypotension (POTS). It causes syncope, abdominal pain and fatigue and is more common in young people. Do you feel worse when you are active or standing up?
I have POTS - Post Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome as well, and get dizzy often. I had a knee replacement back in Nov and then got the horrible flu with extremely high fever in Feb. I dont remember even getting out of bed one morning and the next thing I know is I am lying on the floor and looking up and seeing a paramedic, and then remember little else until in the hospital. Comr to find out also when I apparently passed out and fell, my NEW knee went through the bedroom wall and I and hit my head on the corner of the wall also. At the hospital they seemed only concerned abour my head and neck and once the CT was ok they sent me home even with a 102.5 fever, never even did a leg xray. after that my leg got worse and a month later they had to re do my knee and put in a new patella (knee cap).and tighten up some tendons and ligaments, as well as recement the replacement. Well 6 days post op I was doing great but then tripped with my walker and did not fall but put lots of pressure on my calf and knee, after that I have been unable to put any weight on my leg. Finally a month after that they did another xray and found 2 places where it had looked like I had broke it (my tibia), so then they did a bone scan and it showed some areas (3) that did not look right, and were lesions or tumors. then they did a ct scan and it showed some weird annomally . They wanted to do a MRI but I cannot have them done as I have a pain stimultor implant for my back pain. now the doctor is sending me to a bone and limb specialist: aka:bone oncologist. They love to scare you with that word. I have searched everything I can about what it couold be as the doctor said it should be benign. With all my symptoms all the lab work seems to be coming back ok, and he cannot figure why the pain is so intense, I just passed out earlier this morning, but luckily I was in going to the bathroom and things jsut went plack and I awoke against the wall, and leaned back on the tiolet. This is freaking me out...But I have the fatigue as well, some headaches, dizziness, hard time beathing, I have lost almost 60 lbs since late September, and 15-20 of that just since my mrch surgery...I have no appetite and am sedentary pretty much all of the time, exceept going to the bathroom and using my CPM machine for my knee, as he wants me to keep that bending but does not want me to put weight on my leg til they figure this out. Any ideas from anyone???? this waiting is driving me nuts and nothing is helping the pain, I am on celebrex, percocet, fentynal patch-50 micrograms every 48 hours it is a patch), zanaflex, temazapam to help me sleep (which doesnt help when you are in pain), and just finished coumadin. I think that is all...Would like some input from anyone actually! thanks!
I have lived with POTS and Neurocardiogenic syncope for most of my life. I only have had the diagnosis the last six. I have had good times and bad. I sounds like you are in a crash. I think the fentanyla and percocet may be contributing to your dizziness, fatigue, and headache. Those are number one side effects for those drugs. The zanaflex being a muscle relaxer can cause fatigue too. This may be making you so drowsy during the day that you sleep and cannot sleep at night therefore need the Restoril (Temazepam). Just some food for thought. I am in a crash time too and hoping someone with our problems has experience abdominal distension and excessively quick weight gain with severe edema.
