Please Help

So we're in this panic about H1N1 swine flu and regular flu. Myself and a best friend (who sit beside eachother in one class everyday in school) suddenly felt VERY ill. All day we had been feeling dizzy, but not too bad that it caused us to be unable to continue with our day, it was just annoying. We also had this almost fuzzy feeling in our heads like we couldn't quite think clearly. Suddenly without any warning at the same time (within a few minutes of eachother) we both started feeling very over heated extrememly nauseated and had terrible stomach cramps. Both of us were feeling very weak at this point and were even trembling like we hadn't eaten yet that day, despite both of us eating a very healthy lunch at most 2 hours before. Both of us went home still feeling terrible but both ate something small (toast, small bowl of soup something not to upset our stomachs even more) and the cramping went away. We were still feeling a little crummy but wasn't as bad now. Our sleep last night was difficult at best. Took forever to fall asleep originally, after falling asleep we'd wake up numerous times in the night and don't know why. We both want to know what's wrong with us because this is a little bit scary and no one can tell us why we feel this way. Please help us get to the bottom of this!

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Since both of you had dizziness, nausea, temperature (feeling heated) and stomach cramps, in all probability you both had stomach flu. This could also be a case of food poisoning too.  This does not look like H1N1 infection.
Drink plenty of fluids. Take lactobacillus and curd. Eat light. Take ORS. Take over the counter antacid and antiemetic (this SOS for vomiting). In all probability things should settle down in a day or two. If symptoms persist consult your PCP.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Thanks so much! Well it seems to have passed (for the most part) every so often the dizziness and nausea will spike and will only last for about 10 seconds so I think it's just the last nagging lingering bits of whatever it is we had. It didn't appear to be food poisoning, neither of us had eaten the same thing the same day from the same place (school cafeteria) and we just missed a couple of days of school to be safe. We're back at school and doing much better!
