Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If you have pain under your right rib and constant nausea then there could be a liver infection or a gall bladder problem. Get a liver function test, ultrasound or CT of abdomen, pancreatic enzymes, a repeat chest X-ray and hemogram and iron status. Pain in the upper left abdomen and chest area can be due to stomach issues (GERD or hiatal hernia), spleen issues, due to an abscess below the left diaphragm, a hematoma (localized collection of blood), an abscess, or a muscle pull (as it happened while playing). Ultrasound would have ruled out spleen problems and an abscess below the left diaphragm. A CT scan would be more diagnostic.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
It could be a number of things, but it may be a panic attack. It could also be something to do with acid reflux or your gallbladder.
I agree with Mellie that you should see a doctor. I hope you followed up with the blood work at the ER. Your doctor can run additional tests.
Best wishes in finding out what's going on!
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. You must be worried, especially after just having a new baby! I'm sure you know there are no doctors on this forum; just CP patients that share their experiences and give one another support. It's been a lifesaver for me to be able to share with others with CP.
Did they explain the abnormalities in your bloodwork? I don't think it's uncommon for your blood to be a little off after having a baby. Have you followed up with either your obstetrician or primary care doctor?
I think if I were you I'd start by seeing my OB. C-sections can take a while to recover from sometimes. And you may need some vitamins for your blood or an antibiotic if you have some kind of infection. And you also may be having some anxiety. It can take a while for hormones to get back to normal after having a new baby.
Please check in with your OB and let us know what happen. Did you ever go back the next day to the ER for more blood work?
Please take the time to see your doctor. Once we become moms, we often put ourselves on the back burner, but if you don't take care of yourself, you can't take care of anyone else.
