Please need help (can infection be connected to blow to organs & what should I expect?)

Please help me, I was in an accident and have had some things going on I don't understand. Ever heard of a body infection happening after a blow to the abdominal area where the kidney & liver were lacerated?? That involved a swollen lymph node or pain in the major lymph areas as a result? I read about people that had lymph nodes come up on them after Car Accidents. The Dr.s I talk to don't know and the time I have left (financially) is running out & I really hope to find out more soon.

I was involved in an accident where I received most of my injuries to the right side (A laceration to the right kidney and liver, concussion, herniated disks, & nerve damage.)

The pain I felt in my abdominal area (from the accident) began to spread down all the way down thru my reproductive orgams to my inner top  thighs (more on the right than the left) as time went on. Besides having this I started to have this pain go down the front sides of my neck from my jaws (esp. right) & hurting/ringing ears. It went thru my collar bone and down inside my arm/armpit/breast area hurting me to even swallow. One night I found a swollen Lymph node behind my right ear. Now 2 or so months later the swollen node is still there but hardened (along with all the same pains on both sides)

Once I found that swollen node I looked up the lymph system  & it shocked me to see that the "major areas" is where I've had the most pain?!?!?!?! I've kept a fever and feel weak all over, shaky/achy & dizzy- sometimes just like if I had the flu but I don't cough or anything. How do you think this may connect with a liver, kidney, female organs, concussion, whiplash, back injury or nerve damage- Truama???

If I could get information on this esp. a Doctor's recommendation  I would be so very, very, very grateful.
Please, any answers would be so  appreciated.
Thank you sincerely

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Your problem also looks like Pudendal nerve entrapment (PNE). PNE “ is a source of chronic pain, in which the pudendal nerve (located in the pelvis) is entrapped or compressed. Pain is worsened by sitting, and can include prickling, stabbing, burning, numbness, and the sense of a foreign object in the urethra, vagina----- or rectum. In addition to pain, symptoms can include sexual dysfunction, impotence, anal and urinary incontinence.” You can refer to this link for further information and treatment options: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pudendal_nerve_entrapment
Of course on net a confirmed diagnosis cannot be given, only suggestions. Discuss this with a neurologist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

Thank you for your reply (& welcome) I'm very grateful for your time. I was interested in knowing more about the adhesions? (is that a side effect of a trauma/laceration?) I am going to see a Genacologist for the pain in my lower abdomen & down & was wondering if you had any suggestions about questions connected with the injury that I may not think to ask. (like I didn't know if it would be right to ask about the connection with lymph nodes/ infections) with this Dr.

(Most of the pain in from my accident has been on the right and since the day of the accident (6 months ago now) there’s been a strong pain in the lower right part of my abdomen but esp. in genital area. This pain just pops up, sometimes like being stabbed, sometimes like flaring, sometimes squeezing or even like cold drops, bee stings or even prickly it's worse & will just stay there if my mid section is bent and I’ve noticed that every now & then a pain will follow down the inside of my right or left thigh (whichever side the pain was on)
I haven’t started Therapy for my back yet because of having to wait on my kidney & liver to heal & still after all this time hurt in my torso and find it hard to breathe and tingly. ( I didn't have a period for a little over 2 months after the accident & there was no chance of pregnancy.)

No pressure if nothing comes to mind, I appreciate the input you’ve given.
Thank you sincerely.

Hi
Welcome to the forum!
Lymph nodes can swell n response to infection, inflammation or cancer. Trauma of a major degree like you had can cause a lot of inflammation in the body. This can result in major lymph nodes swelling. Also blunt trauma to abdomen resulting in lacerations of the organs can cause adhesions to form. These adhesions cause varying degree of pain. Also some infection can also be expected. You could have injured the spinal nerves or have a herniated disc or some trauma to spine in cervical and lumbo sacral region that can cause the pain too. Trauma to jaw can cause TMJ like symptoms.
It is difficult to assess the nature of injuries and resulting complications on the net. I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor (PCP) and get a referral for a sports clinic and consult a sports medicine specialist.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
