So I've been living in a nightmare for the last 18 months. I'm only 30 so it doesn't make sense to have this many heath issues at my age.
This has been my track record of illnesses in the last 18 months:
September 2015 - kidney infection (hospitalised)
November 2016 to January 2016 - myocarditis and ebv virus (hospitalised)
April 2016 - kidney infection (hospitalised)
May to December 2016 - at least 8 urinary tract infections
September 2016 - kidney infection
December 2016 - gastritis from h pylori bacteria
I've had at least two major episodes (one currently present) of fevers that are up to 38c on a daily basis for months on end, joint pain, tachycardia up to 130 resting, palpitations, extreme fatigue and dizziness.
During these episodes, I have had abnormal ecg results and also had an echocardiogram that came back with 45% impaired left heart function. I'm so tired, I sleep over 10 hours and still can't get up to walk around my house. I don't feel like sleeping,i just physically cannot manage to do anything. I'm out of breath when trying to do basic chores and I also have chest pressure like someone is sitting on my chest.
The first episode of the fevers and heart issues went from September 2015 until about June 2016 where it slowly went away after taking prenisolone and beta blockers. Now it has come back, exactly the same.
My test results and other issues include:
- minor fluid in hand joints
- bursitis in hips
- mild hip dysplasia
- joint hypermobility
- constantly elevated platlet count up to 600
- 80 ANA nucleolar titre (other autoimmune markers were within normal range)
- constant but low amounts of blood and protein in urine (one test showed blood was glomular from the kidney)
- constant white cells in urine
- stage 4 endometriosis and adenomysosis (taking hormone replacement therapy and have had 5 surgeries)
- intersistal cystitis
- severe varicose veins in legs
- petechiae rash on my arms
- poor circulation in my hands and feet. They turn white.
- irritable bowel syndrome
Doctors can't explain the cause of my illnesses. They suspect an autoimmune disease but they can't pinpoint which one.
I just don't think having 14 separate infections in my heart, kidneys, urinary tract and stomach is normal in an 18 month period for a 30 year old woman.
Any advice or info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.
