RANDOM INTENSE ITCH WHEN I SCRATCH IT, 30 SECONDS LATER, IT MOVES. ANYBODY?

Does anyone have a clue about Julian1161's or GyptianGal's extreme itch questions?  It feels like an insect bite coming from inside or like a nerve firing.  It moves from one place to another for about 10 to 15 minutes.  I am unaware of a pattern or cause, other than I am under a good amount of stress.  I was awakened by such a progression last night, thus the question.  It also happens randomly, of course, not just at night.

If you over-analyze yourself looking for clues to what you think is an illness you will notice lots of things that you experienced before but ignored. I have had bite, itch sensations for years but my doctor said it is a non-event and gave me 10 mg doxepin for night use which has a side effect of stopping itch.
I get hit off and on all day long to varying degrees but could care less so ignore it, however there is an occasional night when it comes in waves to the point that I am constantly touching my skin for relief and can't sleep, so I take a doxepin for a good night's sleep. There is no pattern.

You might talk it over with your doc to see if there is an issue but if she says not then I would ignore it unless it interferes with sleep.
btw your reference to  Julian1161's or GyptianGal' is not understood since you didn't provide a link.
