Rectal throbbing

Today is Monday and i experienced a rectal pain early friday morning around 4 while laying down it was pretty sharp and lasted for about a hour and stopped but happened again that night and then sunday morning and woke me upThis whole period it also included an upset stomach in my lower intestine .It stopped after a bowel movement. Every since then like now I've been having rectal throbbing not necessarily pain but a throbbing feeling. No bleeding no discolored waste or anything just an annoying throbbing. But might i add the day before all this happened i accidentally had bread with a little mold could this be the cause? Please help :/

It could be a gas build up be i dont think that would cause my rectum to hurt would it? Even though it does mainly only hurt until i pass the gas.

I do not think the mold has anything to do with it. If you are male then this might be prostatitis. I think it might be safe to just watch this for a while. These kind of rectal pains often just pass.

Hi and Welcome to our Community,

No my dear, a little mold is not going to hurt your digestive system. In my home state we wipe mold off cheese and eat it - we do the same with smoked sausage. I have also inadvertently eaten bread with mold on it. Neither of these incidents have caused me or anyone I know any issues.

You may just have some gas build up which can be very uncomfortable. It could also be a lower spinal issue causing this pain - or it could be a colon problem. However what you describe is not all the unusual.

As always consult your medical provider if your symptoms persist or become worse.

Take Care,
~Tuck
