Rheumatoid Factor

by Andrea_27, Aug 02, 2007 01:33PM
I am trying to better understand what a high rheumatoid factor indicates. I am a little worried that my doctor said i had a  1: 5,000 diluted factor. Not sure of how that is interpretated at this point. I also have elevated SED rates. The onset of this was noticed when i developed a severe rash and pain in my ankles (both sides) which was only one month ago. Since then, I have Raynoud's loss of feeling in my finger tips and within the past two weeks i've had stiffness in fingers, elbows, knees and shoulders when i awake in the morning. I was referred to a Rheumatologist but i'm looking to understand what's going on with me until then? I am only 27, female and very active? What is going on with me? Any info/advice would be great. Thank you
