Right sided pain

Can adhesions go undetected in most tests, like ultra sounds, bariums and exrays etc.?  As brief about my story as possible to get to my problem. Gall-bladder removed right after second pregneancy at 22 (along with appendix). Partial hysto about 10 years later, which caused not long after the surgery a blocked bowel which fixed itself in time.  Then I started getting really ill and bad pains in my stomach.  I spent 6 weeks in hospital running many tests (they thought kidney stones, diverticulitus - which they then treated me for with no results.  At the end of 5 weeks the doctor did a laparotomy and after explained that my bowel and the one ovary I had left and all the way up to my old gall bladder surgery was covered in adhesions. He spent an hour and a half cutting it away.  Of course my belly now looks like a road map with no mussel control.  I am now 52 and just over two years ago I started getting occasional pain in the same area as my gall bladder. I went to a gastroenterologist and he proceed to do all kinds of tests and scopes.  He came up with that it is a pinced nerve or just muscle pain.  It is about a year now since those tests and I can't barely live with the pain anymore.  Nothing takes it away. I am supposed to go (but not for another 6 weeks) to see a surgeon because my new family doctor thinks it might be an incision hernia.  Last night the pain was so severe that it woke me out of my sleep and the pain kept wanting me to throw up. It is constant now and preventing me from doing things. Could this be adhesions again that they can see on tests? Lowy77
