SWOLLEN SCROTUM after having SWOLLEN NECK

Three days ago I woke up with a severely swollen neck with no pain.  I could not sense any swelling of my nodes....it was almost as if the front of my neck had taken on a lot of water weight - like a fat person's neck - it was a jiggly kind of fat.  Slowly the swelling in the neck went away that day by about 80%.  The next day I woke again with swelling but less this time and again it went away and yesterday it appeared my neck was completely back to normal.  (I had originally attributed this neck swelling to a chemical carpet cleaner I used that same day - as some sort of weird allergic reaction I had to it).  But now I'm not so sure.

So, yesterday (the same day my neck appeared to be fully recovered) I went to do some light exercise   I felt a little weird running around the basketball courts. Almost like my midsection had taken on some of this water weight.  Like I could feel my fat bouncing (more than normal) it was a little bit of a weird sensation - like I had put on 10 lbs around my waist in a short time is the only way I could describe it.  I kept playing though and didn't push myself too hard.

So when I returned home from basketball I was going to shower when I realized my scrotum sac was extremely swollen like the size of a small apple!  Again, like my neck - no pain or discomfort whatsoever.   Just the alarming feeling of having a huge swollen sac which seemed to be full of liquid.  Now I'm like WTF is going on?  These are my nuts we're talking about here!

Today/Now
It's about 15 hours later now from the initial scrotum sack swelling (and 72 hours from the first neck swelling) and the sac swelling has gone down by about 50%.  I'm not sure what's going on here.  It's like some fluid is moving in my body to swell things up.

In general I don't feel 'great' but not really sick or in pain either.  I seem to have my complete appetite, but have lost my appetite for alcoholic beverage this entire week.  Besides this seemingly random swelling I feel pretty good and can't think of any other irregularities or pain.

Your help would be greatly appreciated as I no longer have medical coverage.  Thank you!
btw my stats are:  42m, Caucasian, 6'2 225lbs

I was also going to guess something lymphatic. There are plenty of lymph nodes in both the neck and the groin, so the challenge is to find the cause.

As your body is saying it doesn't want alcohol, it would be wise to abstain for now until you find out what is going on.

Considering that a variety of things could cause lymph edema, you might consider finding a way to get medical coverage as soon as possible.

it sounds like Edema

" Edema: Edema is fluid retention involving the entire scrotum. Edema may result from salt and water retention or blockage of the flow of lymphatic fluid (see Lymphatic Disorders: Lymphedema). In both cases, men have no pain. Salt and water retention most commonly occurs because of heart failure, kidney failure, or chronic liver disease. Lymphedema results from blockage of lymph fluid most often because of compression of the abdominal or pelvic lymph vessels (for example, by a tumor or infection by certain kinds of parasites).

Doctors usually diagnose the cause of edema based on the man's symptoms and findings from a physical examination. Sometimes blood tests are done to evaluate liver and kidney function. Doctors treat edema by treating the cause. "
