Sarcoidosis

I was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 2000.  I never took steroids choosing instead to do alternative medicine.  In 2003-2004 I tried the Marshall Protocol, but admit to never feeling much different than I did when I was just doing my alternatives.  It is now 2009 and for the last 3 days, I have had a relapse of sorts feeling extreme pain in my liver/spleen areas.  I just had bioidentical hormones implanted 4 weeks ago and am now wondering after reading a few comments here if I have just done the wrong thing.  I am NOT on the Marshall Protocol.

Can someone get back to me?

Hi
Thanks for writing to the forum!

Bio-identical Hormones are still a new and experimental field. There are not enough safety reports available to say for sure whether these therapies are better than conventional therapies.

Sarcoidosis is a disease known for its relapses and symptom free stages. I am providing you with a link on sarcoidosis, where everything is explained in a layman’s language. The material is written for patients.

With proper treatment, sarcoidosis can go into remission. Please read through this link for all the details: http***noairtogo.tripod.com/sarcoid.htm

Hope this helps. Do let me know if there is any thing else you want to know. Hope this helps. Take care!

Hello,

Sarcoidosis is a multisystem disorder characterized by non-caseating granulomas (small inflammatory nodules).Due to the advancement of the disease important vital organs like liver, heart, kidneys and brain may get involves.I feel that your symptoms may be due to liver involvement due to progression of the disease.

Diagnostic tests like ultrasound,CT scan and liver function tests can clear the airs and help in confirmation of diagnosis.Pls consult a physician for that.

I sincerely hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
