Seeing Colors

About 10 minutes after I woke up this morning I suddenly couldn't see out of either of my eyes, and there were a bunch of colrful dots.  This went on for about 2 minutes and I laid down on the couch for a couple minutes and when I stood back up I could slowly start to see everything again.  I also had a terrible headache and stomachache.  I am a 13 year old girl and I don't have any allergies or medical issues.  I also haven't taken any medicine recently.  Does anyone know what could've caused this to happen?

I'm not a Doctor but most likely you had intense Migraine.

It can cause head-ache of course, sight problems maybe even transient blindness and even nausea. Look it up!

It was caused probably by moving suddenly from a horizontal to vertical position.
It could be related with growth and never appear again.

Have checked your Blood Pressure regularly over the next weeks and verify the quality of your sleep. Comfort and sleeping position are important.

Talk about it with your Doctor and if it happens other times tell your parents to take you to a Neurologist.

It could be migraine related. But I would see your doctor and possibly an opthamologist followed by a neurologist to confirm it is not an eye problem and confirm it is migraine related. But, usually migraine auras are in one eye. So you need to see a doctor as soon as possible. Have you had a bump on the had or to the eye recently? It sounds also like a retinal tear or problem with the retina. You can also write to the eye care forum and see if the opthamologist there can help.
