Sensitive to cold, sleep disorder, dry itchy skin

I have been having this mild muscle pain/discomfort randamly on my arms, wrist, fingers, neck, knee, ankle and feet since 3 weeks ago. And I have noticed that during this time, I am very sensitive to cold and often unable to have a good deep sleep (can feel that my heart was pounding so fast). My skin also started to feel dry and itchy especially on my face, neck and abdomen.

Are all these symptoms of Fibro? I was having UTI 1 week before all this symptoms started and was on 10 days of antibiotics.

The doctor I consulted was saying that there was nothing wrong with me! But to me the pain is real! And I have completed my antibiotics for more than 2 weeks.

Really appreciate if anyone can give me an advice on what to do....

If you took bactrum for your uti you could have serum sickness  which is a allergic reaction to the antibiotic that happens 7-21 days after taking it.  I was diagnosed with serum sickness in june after taking bactrum for a uti with all your symptoms.  I have seen a rhemologist and all my tests have come back negative.  Now im seeing a endchronologist to check my adrenal and pituitary gland function which came back abnormal.  maybe that can help you  It is very frustrating but hang in there it has been 4 months of problems for me but I think im on the right track now with the endocronologist.  Good Luck

HI there worried one. It sound like Fibro but also like Thyroid problems. I get cold often and cant get warm in bed, even with a thick blanket.  Othertimes I am burning up. I know thyroid regulates your body temps and also can make your skin very dry Have you had a TSH level done on your thyroid?

Hey,
You do have the symptoms of fibromyalgia and thyroid problems....hypothyroid i would think.  Definately get your thyroid panel done.  Both of these disorders are autoimmune in nature and once you have one auto, you are subject to others - that's why fibro and hypo go hand in hand alot of times.  I'm not a doc, but I have fibro and hypo - just had thyroidectomy for cancer of thyroid - so I can relate where you are at.  I certainly understand where you're at.  It took me a while to get a dx of fibro - had to go to a couple of rheumatologists before being diagnosed.  Lots of docs still don't think that fibro exists, but I am living proof that it does - and so are thousands of others.  Thyroid issues can be tricky too - so make sure that you get copies of all tests - if you don't understand something, post here or on the thyroid forum - someone here can help you to understand them!  You take care and keep us posted.
