Sensitivity to draft on left side of head & sinuses

Years ago I worked in an office high on a hill by a window which allowed a very cold draft in on the left side of my head each winter.  I worked there for 4 years and noticed left side temple, sinus sensitivity as a result.  Since than I get serious sinus issues with post nasal drip at the slightest cold draft in that ear.  The ear does not seem to be effected, but I have developed asthma and other complications which seem to reoccur each winter...My asthma is weather related not allergy related.  I have had a post nasal drip for 3 months now, which I took one bout of antibiotics for..it is still here.  I have used nasocort and advair for awhile...What is it that I have?  I cannot understand what it is called since it always happens in the colder weather, and always seems to be triggered by a draft on the left side of my head...Summer is my only good time of year...Help?

A note on Advair. This is a dangerous medication and your condition does not warrant its use. Advair is pretty much reserved for COPD and very serious cases of asthma.  It almost killed me.

Yeah. The answer dates back to 1795 in France...Wow!

At that time livestock (piggies) were developing pneumonia, and farmer Picard did not like to have sick piggies. They performed some famous experiments, lost to time, relating exposure to cold and depression of the animals immune system. You have heard the old story about "Going out into the cold does not cause a cold...colds are caused by infectious organisms".

Sort of.....

Cold affects sensors in various parts of the body and when those sensors are activated the immune response is degraded.

When great grand-mom said "avoid drafts" she wasn't just whistling Dixie.
