Severe Leg Pain in Both Legs

For the past couple of weeks I have been experiencing severe leg pain from mid buttock to lower calves in both legs. My thighs are sore to the touch and on occasion I am almost unable to move one of my legs while lying in bed because the pain is so severe. Advil relieves the pain to some degree, but not entirely.  I have not exercised due to recent hernia surgery and am not taking any medications that are new. I have started Adcirca for PAH in the last 3 days, but that post dates the onset of leg pain. This seems unrelated to skeletal issues as the pain seems to be in the soft tissue. Both legs are affected equally. There is no swelling, numbness, redness, heat or any visible sign of problems. I am mystified. I am a 66 year old female that is active (living on a ranch).

I do this a lot, most of my pain is in my legs and they hurt more at night. I have fibromyalgia. Sometimes it can start all of a sudden. Usually after some kind of trauma. Maybe a car wreck doesn't have to be anything major, or after a lot of stress, mine started after I had a death in the family. I take neurontin at night to help. If my pain is really severe and I can't sleep I will lay in bed and do leg lifts. I know it sounds weird but I do them until I hurt so bad I don't think o could do 1 more. My legs will cramp for about 3-4 min afterwards and then it's like a release, my pain eases a lot and I can go to sleep. If the pain comes back after a while just repeat them.

Hi. I'm sorry that you're in pain and that I don't have much helpful information about this. I was just wondering if you've seen a doctor about your condition? If your pain is so severe that there are times when you're almost unable to move, you may want to get in to see a doctor quickly.
