Shadow on liver during ultrasound

What could it mean if the doctor sees a shadow on the liver during an ultrasound?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Actually the word ‘shadow’ is often used to identify a normal organ on ultrasound—like a liver shadow or a kidney shadow. It is also used to diagnose any hard mass like a tumor. Hence you need to consult your doctor for confirmation.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
