Sharp Cramping Pains

Hi, two days ago I started having sharp cramping pains and having to pee frequently in the afternoons and at night. The first day it started, I had a slight pinkish bleeding after peeing but that seemed to have stopped now. My boyfriend and I had intercourse 4 days ago and I was fine that day... What could be my problem? This has never happened to me before. Please answer back soon.

The AZO test is a home urine test that will help you know if you hav a UTI. You have to hold your urine four hours and then pee in a cup dip the test strip and wait two minutes to read your results. I believe there are a couple different home urine test. These are usually located in the women's section. By the products for yeast infections.

I alway agree it could be urethritis. Both men and women can get it. It is usually caused by a STD, but not always. Only way to know if you have urethritis is a urethral swab.

Hello,

Thanks for writing in this forum.

Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but going by your symptoms,a few possibilities are coming to my mind.Firstly,it can be urinary tract infection(UTI) To diagnose a UTI pls get a complete urine examination and urine culture done.

Secondly, urethral syndrome or urethritis has to be ruled out.It is a primarily female syndrome in which women suffer from irritative bladder symptoms (urinary frequency, urgency, burning , and a hesitant or slowed urinary stream) in the absence of any objective urologic findings. In this the diagnosis can be made only by the proper collections of urine specimens from both the urethra and the bladder. These specimens will reveal the presence of white blood cells in the urethral washings, while the midstream (bladder) specimen will be free of cells.

Thirdly, sexually transmitted diseases have to be ruled out. This can be done by swab specimen from the vagina and cervix.

I sincerely advise you to consult a gynecologist and get urine examination and culture done. Treatment will depend on the diagnosis.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.

Do you have any burning? It could be a simply UTI which is a bladder infection. You would have to go to the doctor and pee in a cup, or you can buy AZO test at Walmart or local drug store. Or if you had unprotected sex it could even be a STD. Either way you will need medication. Don't let it go. If it is a bladder infection it could go to your kidneys, but this would happen if you didn't take care of it. With the AZO test you have to hold your urine at least four hours for it to be accurate. You can get a coupon online just type AZO.
