Sharp pains in arms, mild chest pains, soreness in neck and shoulders

I'm 30 years old, I live overseas on posting and am slightly overweight (it's a long story, but I spent years weight training and not doing cardio and was previously posted somewhere for 2 years where my mobility was restricted. Long story short, I am now doing cardio regularly).

I have very short, often moderate but sometimes sort of sharp, pains in my arms, upper chest and sometimes even legs (though that's rare) combined with soreness in my shoulders and neck. It has been happening almost every day for a year now. I spoke to my doctor about it 8 months ago (this was in a different country) and she had me do a whole whack of tests, except an EKG treadmill test, there wasn't enough time for that one. My results all came back normal, and she was convinced that it was stress. They later subsided but have come back with a vengeance over the past 2 months (though they never really went away, 100%).

It never or almost never happens when I'm exercising, only when I'm sedentary. Could it be a heart issue? The tests 8 months were all good and I'm awfully young to be having issues (aside from being a bit overweight - but it's a combo of fat and muscle in all honesty. Most people do not guess my actual weight.).

What else could it conceivably be? If it persists I probably will go back largely because I want piece of mind, but it would be helpful to hear other opinions (particularly professional ones or people in a similar boat). I am a worrier by nature.

I should add that the pains usually last for seconds and come in intervals at different places... Sometimes my heart rate does go up, but that often coincides with stress. I'd also like to hear any alternative theories about what it could be (i.e. if it's not likely heart related).
