Hi
Thanks for keeping me posted!
I would suggest you get diabetes ruled out as rice is affecting you. Also it can be a food allergy, so this will have to tested by food challenge test. Get your stool tested for different parasites such as round worm, hook worm, tape worm, giardiasis etc. Also rule out the possibility of hepatitis.
Hope this helps. Take care!
Doc,
Got a Question for you. I have yet to do the iron deficiency panel done. Blood tests should cover the anemia panel right. I had blood tests done twice and the doctors said everything is normal.
Lately, I started screening myself for food intolerance, there were couple of times when rice item triggered a skin reaction. I have been eating rice all my life and no reaction until now. After moving to Singapore, I started eating a certain kind of rice and some foods got introduced to me. Having said that, I have started reintroducing chick peas, millet, quinoa, even added back sugar back to my diet and things are normal. I still dont have the same energy that I used to. Something is wrong and I can feel it or maybe its just my mind. I even did STD testing. My HSV Type 1 came 3.47 for my antibody count and there are no pores or anything wrong with my mouth yet, my back lumbar region gets slights achy at times. Deep thirst has disappeared but fatigue is still present inside my system. Also, there is a different kind of (sickly smell to my body), I smell my fingers and I can feel it. I am fanatically clean and take care of my body extremely well. This smelly body symptom started some 2 weeks ago. It gets worse in the morning. Also, my body is kinda dehydrated, dry, weak and thin in the morning. It regains most of its normal stature as I drink heavy 2-3 litres of water in the morning.
I feel that there is somethign wrong with my stomach systems, how do I test if I have anything wrong in there? Is it symptomatic in blood, kidney or liver diagnosis? What are the chances of Celiac's disease? I Just need to feel better and for that whatever it takes. I will appreciate your advice.
Thanks. D

Can you elaborate more on tropical parasites? Is that something common in foods that we eat in tropical regions or are we talking about externally living parasites.
This is just a wild guess, but have you ruled out tropical parasites? I know someone who was stationed in Hawaii who had similar skin color issues and that's what it turned out to be.
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
If the urine color and color of the white portion of eye is normal and only the skin is pale yellow then it is unlikely to be due to hepatitis or jaundice. It is more likely to be due to anemia or due to reaction to food. First get complete anemia and iron deficiency panel done. If this is normal, then the skin color could be changing due to food allergy.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
