Skin color

I a question about skin color changes. This year only I am experiencing large white really white spots all over my body. I have a pool so I am outside alot and never have experienced this before. The top of my left hand is almost solide white by with tan spots on it, my legs have several large spots the side of lemon or orange. My doctor gave me Lamisil and it didn't help at all. He said it had something to do with my pigment in my skin but didn't offer any additional help. Has anyone else experienced this and if so what did you use. I don't like going out in public looking like pokie dot..lol

B Johnson thank you for your help I did look up virtiligo (not spelled right)...lol Mine does appear to have the same visiable look as the pictures on the internet. I am going to contact my health insurance to locate a doctor that treats this an see them for some help.
