Small lump near ear on right side of face, doesn't move, only hurts when pressure applied

Hello, I hope you anyone can help me get to the bottom of what this is. I have an inkling it is a Lymph Node, but i'm unsure..

I have only noticed it today. It is just underneath my cheek bone and is very hard, you can't see it, it doesn't move, it is sore and hurts more when pressure is applied. It's small, around the same size as a pea or if a little bigger.

I have read other responses to similar questions but the lumps were able to be moved around in such posts - as mine isn't.

I will leave it a week or so but if it hasn't cleared up I will see my GP. Just generally want to know what it is if anyone can help.

Thank you.

Hello, it's been 1 week now and the cyst in my eye is gone but the lump near my ear hasn't.
I'll give it another week or so as it isn't affecting me at all.

Thank you very much for your response.

I do have a swollen eye at the moment because of a cyst appearing on my bottom eyelid, which was caused by a blocked gland. I didn't mention this in my post as I wasn't sure it would have a caused a lump in my cheek. I will wait it out and get back to this post.

Again thank you for your response.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
This swollen lump near ear on the face can be due to a boil, abscess, cyst, swollen lymph node in response to an infection or a salivary gland infection. My suggestion would be to wait it out for a few weeks to see if it changes in size. If it gets smaller, it was nothing. If it happens to get bigger, then make an appointment with your doctor. You may take some pain killers or some anti-inflammatory drug if you have pain. Also apply warm compresses on the lump.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
