Sore Discomfort

by kendro24, Jan 04, 2007 12:00AM
Hey. ok I had strep throat for almost ten days and didnt know til i went to the doctor, they gave me penicillin and i took it and my tonsils and throat went down.  I finished me med (penicillin) a little over 8 days ago but I still have some irritation in my throat on left side and my lymph node has gone down since but still is feelable.  Is this normal? cause i am freaking out and I know i really shouldnt but I always do. Is there anything I should be doing to help the lymphnode go all the way down? and should i still be feeling some irriation on on the left side of my throat? like my tonsil on left side still gets a little swollen but nothing major. I have sinus issues which continually make me have mucus. All answeres are greatly appreciated thank you~!!

Well strep can be hard to get rid of sometimes it helps by wiping all the surfaces in the house with a colorox wipe that kills all the germs.  You may still need medicine, and unfortuanley post nasal drips with heavy muscous makes the throat feel constantly sore which i have also and I alwasy think I have a sore throat.  but your best bet is to get a strep swap test done to see if it is still there.
