Spotting

I have been spotting off an on for the past week. I had a biopsy of my uterus done on 9/25. I spotted that day and the next day(lightly), along with cramping due to the procedure.
Well on Monday I spotted and then again today, but today other than the brown spotting, I have the red. I have been cramping(monthly felling) since the procedure was done, I figured it was gas pains.
I am not due to start until next week. I am on b/c and have been on these for over a yr.
I have never, ever spotted before.
Any ideas??

My biopsy came back normal.

I would think hormonal. I don't know what BC pills you are on but when I first went on the pill (in my earlier years) my periods were not right.
I was put on Triphasil and all was good thereafter.    

Have you tried the "womans" forum with this question? Maybe you'll have better luck there.

The spotting could be from the biopsy. I don't think it is bc pills because you've been on them for a year and haven't had any problems, right?
