I had colon surgery in October 2007. I recovered really fast and was able to go home 2 days later. Now in December I am having a burning sensation on my upper left side near my ribsRib cage pain and once in a while it hurts and when I touch it it feels funny. Is this commonCommon cold after a surgery like this it was for diverticulitus.
Scar tissue is a normalNormal saline flush part of healing, but sometimes it gets on things that cause problems. It can be cutCuts and puncture wounds surgically, but surgery is generally not recommended because another surgery will cause more scar tissue to form.
Since you've had diverticulitis already and know what it feels like, do you think it's possible you're developing another infection?
No no infection I really know what that feels like this is just a pull and burning sensation. I think I may have pulled something either when bowling or moving stuff. I am in the process of moving and could be I picked up something too heavy. If it is not gone is a week I will go back to doctors and have them xray or something.
