He has had the camera down this throatCancer - throat or larynx Throat swab culture and up his *** but everything comes back normalNormal saline flush. They told us that he has IBS and thats it. I have NEVER seen someone be so sick due to IBS. Yet they did not give him "food instructions" or anything to expalon to us what we shouls be doing.

From the symptoms that you have described it sounds like irritable bowel syndrome. Moreover upper and loer GI endoscopies have ruled out other possibilities. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a functional bowel disorder characterized by mild to severe abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating and alteration of bowel habits.
Irritable bowel syndrome can be a very difficult diagnosis to make. IBS is called a diagnosis of exclusion, which means that a doctor considers many other alternatives first, perhaps performing tests to rule out other problems.
Treatment includes addition of more fiber in your diet, cessation of smoking and taking stress, antispasmodic medicines, antidiarrheal medicines, antidepressants and new medicines like Alosetron (Lotronex) and Tegaserod (Zelnorm).
