Stomache Pain

kC_
i'm just wondering if i have anything to worry about? i have these breath taking pains in my stomach and all over, they are happening more than they used to.  Theres this pain underneath my ribs, and sometimes its just too much that i can't do anything but keel over and wait for it to stop.  recently certain foods have started to upset my stomach, and at random times too. its not like an allergy where its a constant thing, its unpredictable.  the thing that worries me the most is that when i go to the doctor they exam me and say i'm perfectly healthy, but i don't feel like it.

Hello,

From the information that you have provided to me ,I feel that all your symptoms can be related to drug dependence and abuse.Abdominal pain, nausea, vomitings, diarrhea etc are some of the symptoms of drug abuse. Drink lots of water, eat balanced meals and take vitamins to help your body to purify and normalize itself. Try to take short walks to help defuse the tension.Talking to your friends and family members and induldging yourself in some recreational activity will also help. You can also consult an addiction specialist to handle the long-term psychological cravings that can continue for weeks, months, even years.

Hope this information helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing and if you have any additional queries.

thanks for the response..just to give you some background information about me. im 18 and i'm a recovery drug addict.  I think some of my pains might be because of my drug use.  During my use i ended up taking around 20-30 pills of Advil and Tylenol combined.   And i'm worried that combo messed with my insides? i don't know if thats the case though.  When i have pain it's on both sides of my rib cage and i feel like their caving in.  in my lower stomach it's on both sides too but the majority is on the left.  I also have dirahea a lot, and sometimes the pain is so great i start sweating all over.

any information helps a lot, thank you

Hello,

Abdominal pain can be due to many causes. Abdominal pain that comes on suddenly suggests a sudden event, for example, the interruption of the supply of blood to the colon (ischemia) or obstruction of the bile duct by a gallstone (biliary colic).

Pain due to inflammation (appendicitis, diverticulitis, cholecystitis, pancreatitis) typically is aggravated by sneezing, coughing or any jarring motion. Patients with inflammation as the cause of their pain prefer to lie still.

Pain due to GERD and petic ulcers is associated with nausea and is relieved on taking antacids. Functional abdominal pain syndrome (FAPS),ovarian cysts and pelvic inflammatory disease can also cause abdominal pain.So pls specify the side and site at which you are having the pain,so that I can help you with the differentials and investigations required to confirm a diagnosis.

Take care and do keep us posted on how you are doing.
