I KNOW something is wrong. Ive gained alot of weight and wonder if thats the problem. Any comments. What is it and how would u test for a parasite because it is possible.

Well me I dont think as doctors say, everyone is written of as all in there head.  Can anyone know for sure.  It is a possiblity the tear is doing it.  I look at it this way a tiny little splinter stuck in the finer can hurt.  So how does anyone else know what will cause pain.  Just because it has been documented before by a doctor it always seems to be disregarded.  (speaking from exerience I have constant daily headaches and been told there is no problem though I know it started after a sinus infection)  Anyway,  hope your mind is somewhat at peace about anything serious.

The CT scans all came back normal. So I'm now at a loss. I guess it's all in my head after all. Laughs.

I'm wondering now (after much reasearch) if it could possibly be a tear that has filled up with fluid... God only knows I'm clutching at straws here, but anythings better than thinking it's cancer. The weekend is dragging laughs! I don't know how people can stand weeks  for these tests, I think I'd go barmey! A few days was bad enough... *kneels down and kisses private health insurance forms*

Hi

Is it possible that the slight tear can be causing some type of problem.  With the medical field you never know.  Unfortunaltey most doctors say textbook terms and symptons that just might not fit for everyone and they think it should.  Though they think it does doesnt mean you do, you know your body.  Where did they say the tear was?  If it is that area maybe get a second opionion to find out if this could be the cause.  I see it this way.  When someone has a hiatel hernia there is a slight tear in the lining of the esphogus that can cause stomach upset, throat burning on top of indigestion and heartburn.  So if a little tear there can cause many syptoms, maybe your slight tear can to. Try not to worry so much as I am sure taking care of your mom (sorry) adds to the worry.  Best wishes

It does sound like gallbladder.  You may not even have gallstones, but the gallbladder maybe malfunctioning.  The only way to determine that would be a Hida-scan of the gallbladder.  That's assuming your U/S was of the entire abdomen.  It would be worth looking into.

Thanks for your comments. The upper abdominal ultra sound I had took pictures of my: liver, kidneys, gallbladder and spleen. It also took pictures of the area over my discomfort, both from a standing, horizontal and back angle. The only findings were a low grade muscle tear/bruise. I don't know if the ultra sound would have gone deep enough to look at my bowel or not when they put it over the area in question? Apparently all of the aforementioned organs were in good condition and no problems (other than the muscle tear/bruise) where found. I have - yet another - appointment with my Dr. this Thursday, I know I shouldn't be so terrified, but I can't help freaking out... I guess nursing my Mother though the final stages of her cancer isn

Hi the doctor you saw was he specifically a gastrointestinal doctor?  If not I would make an appointment with a gastro doctor and get all tests redone even possbily a colonoscopy.  By the way dont get nervous a gallbladder problem (gallstones) can cause many many of the symptons you describe and could be your problem.  Very easy to take care of.  Dont worry.

wish you well
